Transit Times — Türkiye to Dubai

OriginTransit TimeService
Mersin / İskenderun24–30 daysVia Suez, direct or with one transhipment (e.g. Port Said or Jeddah)
Ambarlı (Istanbul) / Gemlik (Bursa) / Aliağa (İzmir)26–34 daysUsually with transhipment in the East Mediterranean or Red Sea
Discharge at Khor Fakkan / Fujairah+1–3 daysRoad leg into Dubai while the Strait of Hormuz is disrupted
Turkish supplier → Dubai warehouse34–45 daysCollection, export clearance, sea leg, UAE clearance and delivery
⚠ Indicative transit: in 2026 the Red Sea is only partly back to normal and the Strait of Hormuz has been closed to normal container traffic for much of the year, so many UAE-bound services now discharge on the east coast (Khor Fakkan or Fujairah) instead of inside the Gulf. We confirm the routing, port of discharge and current window for your actual booking when we quote, rather than repeating a best case.

We Collect from Suppliers Across Türkiye

Our Bursa team collects from factories and traders all over Türkiye and ships through the nearest suitable port — Gemlik for Bursa and the Marmara region, Ambarlı for Istanbul, Aliağa for the Aegean, Mersin and İskenderun for central and southern Anatolia. UAE Import Duty and Clearance for Turkish Goods

Goods entering the UAE mainland from Türkiye pay customs duty of 5% of the CIF value for most products, plus 5% VAT. Under the UAE–Türkiye Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), many Turkish-origin goods qualify for reduced or zero duty when they travel with a valid CEPA certificate of origin — tell us the HS code and we confirm the rate before you ship.

If the goods are not for the UAE market — for example Turkish food, textiles or building materials heading on to Afghanistan, Africa or Central Asia — a free-zone or transit entry is usually the better route because it avoids paying UAE duty on goods that only pass through for re-export. We advise on the right entry before the container sails, not after it lands.

FCL Shipping Türkiye to Dubai — FAQ

How long does FCL shipping from Türkiye to Dubai take?

Port to port, plan on about 24–30 days from Mersin or İskenderun and 26–34 days from Ambarlı, Gemlik or Aliağa, depending on the service and any transhipment. From a supplier in Türkiye to a warehouse in Dubai, allow roughly 34–45 days including collection, export clearance, UAE clearance and delivery. We confirm the current window when we quote.

Do you have your own office in Türkiye?

Yes. Delta Global has its own office in Bursa. Our Bursa team collects from suppliers across Türkiye, files the export declaration and books the sailing, and our Dubai head office handles UAE clearance and delivery.

Which Turkish ports do you ship from?

Mersin, Ambarlı (Istanbul), Gemlik (Bursa), Aliağa (İzmir) and İskenderun. We pick the port by where your supplier is and which service gives the best transit to the UAE at the time of booking.

Is the Strait of Hormuz disruption affecting Türkiye–Dubai containers?

Yes. While the Strait of Hormuz is disrupted, many services discharge at Khor Fakkan or Fujairah on the UAE east coast and the container travels to Dubai by road, which usually adds one to three days. We tell you the routing and port of discharge before you book.

What import duty applies to Turkish goods in Dubai?

Most goods pay 5% customs duty on the CIF value plus 5% VAT when they enter the UAE mainland. Under the UAE–Türkiye CEPA, many Turkish-origin goods qualify for reduced or zero duty with a valid CEPA certificate of origin, and goods moving on to another country can use a free-zone or transit entry. Send us the HS code and we confirm before shipping.

Can you help me find suppliers in Türkiye?

Yes. Our Bursa team runs product sourcing in Türkiye — finding and checking suppliers, collecting from several factories and loading one full container to Dubai.

Do you offer LCL or air freight from Türkiye to Dubai?

No. This route is full-container (FCL) sea freight only — minimum one 20ft or 40ft container. If you ship smaller volumes, a consolidator will usually be a better fit.
